So does anyone really care about the winter Olympics 2010? I would have to say yes and no. A lot of it I believe depends on the event itself. Some people like the bobsleigh at the 2010 winter Olympics, some like the luge, others get into the figure skating at the 2010 winter Olympics and some people will actually get into curling at the 2010 winter Olympics… It all depends on personal interest. But that being said, some of the sporting events are so boring that I don’t know how anyone can get into it, for example;

How can anyone get excited about watching cross-country skiing? Or what about watching curling? How many people can really get fired up about watching curling. But all and all most of the winter Olympics 2010 events can be exciting. Here is my list of the most exciting events of the 2010 winter Olympics:

(1) I would have to say that figure skating is by the most exciting because of the precision, skill and drama involved. (2) Number two would I would have to give the nod to the bobsleigh at the 2010 winter Olympics as the second most exciting sport. Why? Because of the speed involved I find to be rather exciting. (3) For number three I would have to go with speed skating. Speed skating is exciting because of the skill and speed involved. (4) Number four would have to be alpine skiing. Once again this has to be considered of the most exciting Olympic sporting events due to the speed and skill involved. (5) Coming in at number five would have to be the luge. Once again this is exciting due to the speed involved. (6) Well which sport is number six… Possibly ice hockey… But the problem with watching ice hockey on T.V. is keeping track of the puck. The exceptions to this of course was the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team “miracle on ice” that upset the formidable Soviet Union hockey team.

So then going back to the original question and premise; Does anyone really care about the winter Olympics 2010… Well once again it depends on the event and the celebrity “star status” of the athlete. To cite you an example I like to watch the short track speed skating event because I am a big fan of Apolo Anton Ohno. But overall I believe that the 2010 winter Olympics is worth watching!

2010 Super Bowl Tickets, Sunday, February 7, 2010, Dolphin Stadium, Miami Florida.

Believe it or not it is that time of the year again as we start to wind down another exciting year in the National Football league.

As you look at the year in review their really wasn’t that many surprises. For the most part the teams that were expected to win won. The Patriots, Chargers, Colts, Vikings, Saints, Cardinals, Cowboys all won their division as expected. Probably the only real surprise was the upstart Cincinnati Bengals winning their division unseating the super champions Pittsburgh Steelers.

As far as the playoffs is concerned it is wide open. I do not see any clear or obvious favorites at this point. Every team with the exception of the New York Jets has a shot at going to and winning the super bowl. And the only reason why I don’t believe the Jets have a chance is because of rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez at the helm.

The Daytona 500 is probably one of the most exciting sporting events of our time. This sport is very unique because it is the only sport to have their biggest and most major event at the start of the season.

The very first Daytona 500 race was in 1959 and was won by legendary Lee Petty. The most recent 2009 Daytona 500 was a rain shortened event won by Matt Kenseth.

One of the more exciting aspects of the sport, for good or bad, is the debate that arises out of the championship question. Unlike many other sports, both collegiate and professional, college football does not have a playoff system.

Instead, college football teams are ranked, mostly by order of their overall record and the relative strength of opponents beaten. You can probably see already how important, then, the college football schedule is to many teams competing for the title.

All I can say is thank God the NFL training camps are here! I mean in all due respect to the summer sports like baseball, golf, soccer, outdoor track and field, tennis etc… These are all nice sports to watch but… If we compare them to what we all know as the NFL Marketing MACHINE, there is just no comparison.

Baseball might be a little exciting to watch as we get into the wild card race, playoffs and then the world series… But just not enough to peak my interest. And the only time I watch golf is when Tiger is in the hunt, which hasn’t been much lately as he recovers from knee surgery. And tennis I must admit I have not watched much of since John McEnroe and Jimmy Conners retired although I do like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal… both of which has brought a little bit more life back into the sport. As far as track and field is concerned… well the 100 meter dash and the 4×100 meter relay is exciting to watch. And soccer, well that sport needs help!

Well like I said I can’t wait until the NFL season starts and this doesn’t even include the excitement of college football when it gets here. Wow, I can’t wait!

So the NFL reinstates Michael Vick… Is that really a big deal? You take a look at Michael Vick’s career stats and they were average at best. He had a career completion percentage of 53.8 which is mediocre at best. While his rushing yards were impressive — 3859 — that was his forte of course… And he had a good TD to interception ratio at 71 to 52… Nevertheless Michael Vick was an average at best quarterback.

So what exactly will be in the future for Micheal Vick. Probably as a back up quarterback or if a team is really desperate an suffers a season ending injury to their starting quarterback possibly a starting quarterback in the NFL again… If a team wants to settle for mediocrity!
