NFL reinstates Michael Vick… So What!

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

So the NFL reinstates Michael Vick…  Is that really a big deal?  You take a look at Michael Vick’s career stats and they were average at best.  He had a career completion percentage of 53.8 which is mediocre at best.   While his rushing yards were impressive — 3859 — that was his forte of course…  And he had a good TD to interception ratio at 71 to 52…  Nevertheless Michael Vick was an average at best quarterback.

So what exactly will be in the future for Micheal Vick.  Probably as a back up quarterback or if a team is really desperate an suffers a season ending injury to their starting quarterback possibly a starting quarterback in the NFL again…  If a team wants to settle for mediocrity!

More on Ben Roethlisberger Assault Case

Monday, July 27th, 2009

I think the big question now is how is Ben Roethlisberger and for that matter how are the rest of his team (Steelers) going to respond to this controversy.   Is this going to negatively affect Ben’s play on the field, or is he going to use this as a motivational factor and play even better.

Knowing how tough Roethlisberger is, and the Pittsburgh Steelers organizations history of winning, I would be willing to bet the mortgage on my house that Roethlisberger and the Steelers will use this as a motivational force to play even better!

Ben Roethlisberger accused of Rape

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

As you know by now Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault.  The story here is NOT that  Roethlisberger was accused of rape…  From all indications this lady that Roethlisberger had a relationship with is a nut case and is trying to profit from Roethlisberger’s high profile status…  The real story is how these professional athletes like a Roethlisberger or a Kobe Bryant put themselves in these types of circumstances in the first place.

You would think that these high profile professional athletes would have the common sense to stay away from these types of circumstances but I guess that they are just gifted athletes with very little sound judgment!
